ALMOND MILK


INGREDIENTS

  • 1 cup of raw almonds

  • 2 cups of water

  • Vanilla extract (optional)


METHOD

  1. Soak almonds in a glass bowl overnight (the longer the soak, the creamier the almonds will be).

  2. Drain the soaking water and rinse almonds well.

  3. Place almonds in a blender with 2 cups of water (if you prefer a sweeter almond milk, add a splash of vanilla extract). Blend for about 2-3 minutes on high or until almonds are smooth and creamy.

  4. Strain mixture through a cheesecloth or nut milk bag and store in an airtight container in the fridge for 3-5 days.
