  • 2 cups all-purpose flour

  • 3/4 cup Nature's Delight Maple Syrup

  • ¾ cup chocolate chips

  • ½ cup unsweetened cocoa powder

  • 1 teaspoon baking soda

  • 1 egg

  • 1 cup plain yogurt

  • 1/4 cup milk

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil

  • ¼ cup chocolate chips


  1. Preheat oven to 180°C. In a muffin tray place 12 muffin liners.

  2. Combine flour, 3/4 cup chocolate chips, cocoa powder, and baking soda in a large bowl. In another bowl, whisk egg, yogurt, milk, vanilla, maple syrup and vegetable oil until smooth; pour into chocolate mixture and stir until batter is blended.

  3. Fill muffin liners with muffin mixture. Leave some room to sprinkle remaining chocolate chips.

  4. Bake muffins for approximately 20 minutes or until toothpick comes out of the centre of the muffin clean.

  5. Allow to cool before removing from tray and placing on wire rack. Enjoy!
